We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with deep expertise in valve and Environmental Control System (ECS) component fabrication. This leadership role involves driving process innovation, ensuring production quality, managing complex manufacturing challenges, and mentoring engineering teams to meet stringent industry and customer requirements.
Process Leadership & Innovation:
Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of advanced manufacturing processes for valve and ECS components to enhance product quality, reliability, and production efficiency.
Quality & Compliance Management:
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP) and regulatory requirements. Lead root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.
Production & Supplier Collaboration:
Drive cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, design, and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues, improve processes, and ensure timely delivery.
Cost Optimization & Lean Manufacturing:
Champion lean manufacturing principles and cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Technical Mentorship & Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical expertise and professional growth within the manufacturing team.
Project & Resource Management:
Manage multiple complex projects, coordinate resources efficiently, and communicate progress and risks to senior leadership.
Develop, validate, and optimize fabrication processes for valves and ECS components.
Lead quality assurance activities including audits, inspections, and compliance with industry standards.
Oversee tooling design, maintenance, and process automation initiatives.
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with suppliers on material specifications, quality improvements, and qualification processes.
Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
Lead cross-functional teams to support product launches and process scale-up.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong background in valve and ECS component fabrication.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, and surface treatments.
Proven experience with aerospace or industrial quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001).
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficient in CAD and process simulation tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams effectively.
