The Manager – Tank, Piping & Frame Fabrication oversees the fabrication operations of tanks, piping systems, and structural frames essential for food and beverage manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, quality assurance, workforce supervision, and ensuring all fabrication activities comply with sanitary standards and safety regulations. The manager leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication efficiency, quality, and reliability while supporting cross-functional collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Manage daily operations of tank, piping, and frame fabrication, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to production plans.
Supervise workflow, resource allocation, and job prioritization within the fabrication shop.
Ensure all fabrication work complies with hygienic design requirements, including 3-A Sanitary Standards and other food safety regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop skilled fabricators, welders, and assemblers specializing in tanks, piping, and structural frames.
Implement training programs to improve technical skills, safety awareness, and quality standards.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Enforce stringent quality standards to ensure all fabricated tanks, piping, and frames meet engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify defects and implement corrective actions.
Maintain detailed documentation and traceability for all fabrication activities.
Promote workplace safety by enforcing OSHA guidelines and company policies.
Oversee maintenance and calibration of fabrication equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety.
Lead safety training sessions and investigations for any incidents or near-misses.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase fabrication efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support new equipment introductions and process upgrades.

7+ years in fabrication management roles within food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or sanitary manufacturing industries
Proven experience managing tank, piping, and frame fabrication operations
Strong knowledge of sanitary fabrication standards and welding techniques
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
Expertise in fabrication processes, quality control, and safety regulations
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
