The Mid-Level Maintenance Technician for Packaging Lines is responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on packaging machinery including fillers, conveyors, case packers, and palletizers. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports production uptime, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging line performance.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities including lubrication, adjustments, inspections, and parts replacement on packaging machinery.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, troubleshoot issues, and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime.
Replace components such as motors, belts, sensors, pneumatic cylinders, and control devices.
Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and PLC programming knowledge to resolve packaging equipment faults.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and lead root cause identification and corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement by recommending modifications or upgrades to improve equipment reliability.
Strictly adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safety protocols during maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards while working on packaging lines.
Participate in safety audits and contribute to a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts usage, and machine performance in the CMMS.
Communicate effectively with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams.
Assist in training junior technicians and operators on basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.

Technical diploma or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
3–5 years of experience maintaining packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment
Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related equipment issues
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on conveyors, fillers, motors, sensors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance documentation
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to train and mentor junior team members
