The Junior Maintenance Technician assists in the routine maintenance, inspection, and basic repair of HVAC equipment to ensure reliable operation and energy efficiency. Working under supervision, this entry-level role supports senior technicians in maintaining HVAC systems across manufacturing plants, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
Assist in performing scheduled maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting HVAC components.
Help monitor HVAC system performance and report any irregularities or malfunctions.
Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
Assist in diagnosing and repairing minor mechanical and electrical faults under supervision.
Replace worn or damaged parts such as belts, motors, fans, and sensors.
Use hand tools and basic diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or maintenance needs promptly.
Participate in safety training and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and assist in documenting repairs and inspections.
Communicate effectively with maintenance team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Technical training or certification in HVAC or mechanical maintenance is a plus

Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
Ability to use hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Good teamwork and communication skills
