The Senior Maintenance Planning Analyst oversees the strategic planning and scheduling of maintenance for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) assets. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and compliance of control systems by leading maintenance strategy development, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in asset management practices.
Lead the planning, scheduling, and optimization of preventive and corrective maintenance for I&C systems and instrumentation.
Analyze maintenance data and equipment history to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for reliability improvements.
Develop and enhance asset maintenance strategies, procedures, and KPIs aligned with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
Coordinate with production, engineering, procurement, and vendors to ensure efficient resource allocation and minimize downtime.
Lead failure investigations (RCAs), support maintenance audits, and contribute to plant shutdown and turnaround planning.
Ensure effective use of CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) for work order management, parts tracking, and reporting.
Mentor junior planners and analysts, and provide technical leadership across the maintenance team.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all planning activities.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of digital tools and predictive maintenance technologies.
Strategic Maintenance Planning:
Develop high-level maintenance strategies for I&C assets to improve reliability and lifecycle performance.
Data-Driven Reliability Improvement:
Leverage maintenance analytics to drive predictive and condition-based maintenance initiatives.
CMMS Optimization:
Ensure CMMS is effectively utilized for planning, scheduling, and KPI reporting.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Act as the key liaison between maintenance, operations, procurement, and engineering.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain high standards of documentation and ensure alignment with EHS and industry regulations.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Guide and develop junior team members, share best practices, and elevate the planning function.
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, or asset management in manufacturing or industrial settings.
In-depth knowledge of I&C systems, sensors, transmitters, PLCs, and instrumentation maintenance standards.
Advanced experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, IBM Maximo) and maintenance planning tools.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with RCM, FMEA, RCA, and reliability improvement methodologies.
Understanding of regulatory and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 55000, IEC).
