The Maintenance Manager – Mechanical Systems is responsible for leading the maintenance strategy, planning, and execution of all mechanical equipment and infrastructure. The role ensures high asset reliability, minimal downtime, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This includes overseeing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for critical systems such as pumps, compressors, HVAC, piping, rotating equipment, and utility services.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all mechanical systems.
Oversee day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the facility.
Ensure availability and reliability of critical equipment with minimal production interruptions.
Track and analyze equipment performance, failure trends, and downtime data.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode analysis (FMEA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Optimize maintenance strategies using Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
Maintain a complete inventory of mechanical assets and ensure accurate records in the CMMS.
Manage asset replacement planning, refurbishment, and upgrade projects.
Ensure lifecycle cost efficiency of mechanical systems.
Supervise a team of mechanical technicians, engineers, and contractors.
Plan workforce allocation, training, and development to improve technical capabilities.
Promote a culture of ownership, safety, and performance accountability.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are available.
Work with procurement for timely sourcing of materials and vendor services.
Oversee AMC/contractor performance for outsourced maintenance activities.
Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities comply with EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, SOPs, inspection logs, and incident reports.
Support internal and external audits related to mechanical operations.

Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
10–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance roles in manufacturing, utilities, or industrial operations.
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, piping systems, HVAC, and mechanical utilities.
Proficiency in CMMS systems (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.) and reliability tools.
