We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and reliability of mechanical equipment and valve systems across water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role is responsible for leading maintenance teams, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring asset performance, regulatory compliance, and operational uptime.
Maintenance Strategy & Execution
Lead all mechanical maintenance activities for pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, actuators, gear drives, and related process equipment.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs tailored to mechanical and valve system needs.
Oversee work scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory planning for mechanical repairs and parts.
Team Leadership & Supervision
Supervise maintenance technicians, mechanics, and valve specialists; assign work, evaluate performance, and promote skill development.
Foster a safety-first culture and ensure staff adhere to all safety policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and PPE use.
Provide training and mentorship to improve mechanical troubleshooting and repair proficiency.
Valve System Oversight
Manage the maintenance and operation of various valve types (e.g., gate, butterfly, check, air release, control valves).
Implement valve exercising and inspection programs to ensure reliability and accessibility during critical operations.
Coordinate with asset management teams on valve condition assessments and replacement planning.
Operational Coordination
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and instrumentation teams to coordinate maintenance with plant operations and capital projects.
Respond to equipment failures and emergency situations, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution.
Maintain alignment with operational goals to reduce downtime and optimize asset performance.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all maintenance work complies with regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and reports using CMMS systems.
Support internal audits, inspections, and reporting for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
Relevant trade certifications and licenses considered
Experience:
8–10+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in water/wastewater or industrial environments
At least 3 years in a supervisory or maintenance management role
Strong understanding of pump systems, valves, and rotating equipment
Skills:
Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, Cityworks, SAP PM)
Ability to read P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and valve schematics
Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety practices and environmental compliance standards
