We are seeking a Senior Machine Operator with extensive hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC cutting machines, press brakes, punching systems, and plate/pipe rolling machines. The ideal candidate will independently manage complex jobs, mentor junior operators, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure quality and productivity standards are met consistently.
Independently handle complete setup and calibration of CNC profile cutters, hydraulic press brakes, turret punches, and rolling machines.
Adjust machine parameters and tooling for material thickness, bend angles, and tolerance requirements.
Interpret complex fabrication drawings, bend sequences, flat patterns, and tolerance callouts.
Execute jobs as per production plans, ensuring minimal scrap and accurate outcomes.
Perform precise in-process and final dimensional inspections using high-accuracy instruments.
Suggest and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times, tool wear, and setup changeovers.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine alarms, tool offsets, punch/bend inaccuracies, or CNC errors.
Collaborate with maintenance teams on preventive maintenance schedules and report critical machine health indicators.
Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level operators in job setup, safety practices, and quality standards.
Coordinate with production planners, welders, and design teams for seamless job flow.
Operate fabrication machines to deliver high-precision parts per production requirements.
Manage shift output, minimize downtime, and ensure adherence to work instructions.
Maintain accurate production logs, setup sheets, and inspection records.
Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and housekeeping practices.
Provide feedback to engineering or design teams on manufacturability or fixture design.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Fabrication, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in operating fabrication machinery in a production setting.
Strong command of CNC interfaces, press brake programming, punch/bend libraries, and bend allowance calculations.
Familiarity with advanced machine brands (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Accurpress, Durma).
Ability to work with sheet metal of various thicknesses and materials (MS, SS, aluminum).
Basic exposure to CAD/CAM software, nesting tools, or ERP/MES systems.
Working knowledge of Lean, 5S, and ISO 9001 production environments.
