We are hiring a Junior Machine Operator to work with CNC, Press Brake, Punching, and Rolling Machines used in sheet metal and structural fabrication. The ideal candidate will support setup, basic machine operations, and part handling under close supervision. This role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to grow within the precision manufacturing environment.
Operate CNC profile cutting, hydraulic press brake, turret punching, and rolling machines under supervision.
Assist in loading and unloading materials and parts onto machines.
Perform basic machine settings and understand operational commands.
Learn to interpret simple technical drawings, sheet layouts, and job cards.
Follow production sheets, dimension details, and bend/punch sequences.
Identify and collect raw materials (steel plates, sheets, coils) based on job specs.
Tag, organize, and move parts safely across workstations.
Perform basic dimensional and visual checks using scale, vernier, and gauges.
Recognize burrs, misalignments, or surface defects and report them to seniors.
Adhere to machine operating safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Support routine machine cleaning and report unusual sounds or tool wear.
Operate machines as per instructions and complete daily assigned jobs.
Maintain basic production records such as job completion count and downtime.
Cooperate with senior operators and technicians for training and guidance.
Ensure proper care and cleanliness of machines and tools.
Follow all shop floor protocols, safety signs, and hazard communication.
ITI / Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Machinist, or relevant trade.
0–1 year of experience in sheet metal or mechanical fabrication (freshers welcome).
Basic understanding of fabrication machine operations and safety.
Exposure to operating or observing CNC, press brake, or punching machines.
Ability to use measurement tools like vernier caliper, angle gauge, or protractor.
Good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
