Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The MEP Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within construction projects. This role ensures that MEP systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The MEP Manager leads cross-functional teams and works closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated building systems on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design review, coordination, installation, and commissioning of all MEP systems.

  • Manage MEP contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and civil teams to integrate MEP systems into the overall project.

  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.

  • Monitor progress of MEP works and resolve any technical or site issues.

  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and sustainability requirements.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks for MEP installations.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on MEP activities.

  • Review and validate MEP testing, commissioning plans, and as-built documentation.

  • Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus).

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in MEP management within the construction industry.

  • Proven experience managing MEP works for large-scale projects such as high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or industrial facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.

  • Familiarity with BIM coordination, AutoCAD, and MEP design software.


Preferred Competencies:

  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.

  • Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Ability to interpret technical documents and enforce quality standards.

  • Experience with green building certifications (LEED, Estidama) is a plus.
