The role involves executing lubrication tasks, collecting oil samples, and supporting reliability efforts under supervision. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to develop skills in industrial lubrication practices and rotating machinery care.
Lubrication Application:
Perform routine lubrication of mechanical systems including bearings, gears, couplings, and turbines as per schedule.
Assist in grease application and oil top-ups following OEM specifications.
Oil Sampling & Monitoring:
Collect oil samples from rotating equipment for analysis (wear particles, viscosity, moisture).
Assist in monitoring oil levels, cleanliness, and signs of contamination or leakage.
Route Execution & Record Keeping:
Follow predefined lubrication routes and checklists.
Record completed tasks, consumption of lubricants, and equipment condition in logbooks or CMMS.
Basic Inspection Support:
Report abnormal noises, vibrations, or signs of overheating or leaks during lubrication rounds.
Alert maintenance team of any findings requiring further inspection or repair.
Tool & Material Handling:
Handle and maintain lubrication tools, pumps, containers, and fittings properly.
Ensure safe storage and handling of oils and greases per safety and environmental standards.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Adhere to plant safety protocols, including use of PPE, spill control, and proper waste disposal.
Maintain clean and organized lube stations and work areas.
Learning & Development:
Participate in on-the-job training and technical instruction related to lubrication practices, turbine systems, and rotating equipment care.
Lubrication Practices:
Apply lubrication to bearings and turbine systems based on maintenance schedules and OEM guidelines.
Oil Health Monitoring:
Support oil sampling and monitoring tasks to assess lubricant quality and detect early signs of equipment wear.
Preventive Maintenance:
Contribute to the preventive maintenance program by ensuring proper lubrication of mechanical assets.
Documentation & Reporting:
Record lubrication activities and assist in updating maintenance systems and logs.
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Follow safety and environmental protocols in the handling and disposal of lubricants.
Skill Development:
