We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lubrication Technician to support equipment reliability and performance by carrying out routine lubrication tasks across plant machinery and rotating equipment. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a basic mechanical understanding and a willingness to grow their career in maintenance and reliability operations.
Perform routine lubrication of plant equipment, including motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, compressors, and conveyors.
Follow lubrication schedules and ensure the correct application of lubricants based on equipment type and operating conditions.
Assist in oil sampling, grease application, and lubricant top-ups under supervision.
Clean lubrication points and fittings before application to prevent contamination.
Maintain accurate logs of lubrication activities, oil levels, and anomalies using checklists or digital tools.
Support minor inspections of seals, filters, leaks, and oil conditions during lubrication rounds.
Assist in the storage, handling, and labeling of lubricants to meet safety and cleanliness standards.
Follow all plant safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and chemical handling guidelines.
Communicate equipment issues or irregularities to supervisors or maintenance teams for follow-up.
Lubrication Task Execution
Ensure timely and accurate lubrication of designated equipment to prevent wear and extend asset life.
Contamination Control
Follow best practices for clean lubrication to avoid introducing dirt or moisture into machinery.
Preventive Maintenance Support
Contribute to the plant’s preventive maintenance program through regular and documented lubrication activities.
Observation & Reporting
Identify and report early signs of equipment wear, leaks, or unusual noises for proactive maintenance.
Learning & Development
Gain knowledge of lubricant types, application methods, and equipment-specific requirements to advance into higher-level roles.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred.
0–2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical assistance, or lubrication work.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
Ability to follow lubrication charts, route schedules, and safety instructions.
Physically fit and comfortable working in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, oil, and moving machinery.
Attention to detail, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
Industrial or manufacturing plant with exposure to heat, noise, moving equipment, and lubricating fluids.
Requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting during daily tasks.
