The Senior Line Mechanic is a technical leader responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of conveyor systems, motors, pumps, and related mechanical equipment. This role manages complex repairs, leads reliability improvement initiatives, mentors junior staff, and collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
Lead diagnosis and repair of complex mechanical and electrical issues on conveyors, motors, and pumps.
Manage major breakdowns and coordinate rapid response teams to restore equipment uptime.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions to improve equipment reliability.
Develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance programs for conveyors, motors, and pumps.
Lead or support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and installation of new systems.
Mentor and train junior and mid-level mechanics on advanced maintenance techniques and best practices.
Enforce strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
Lead safety audits and risk assessments related to conveyor and motor maintenance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and industry safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals.
Provide technical expertise during equipment commissioning, validations, and process improvements.
Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders regarding equipment status, risks, and improvement plans.
Leadership in troubleshooting and repairing complex conveyors, motors, and pumps

Technical diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or related field preferred
7–10+ years of experience maintaining conveyors, motors, pumps, and related equipment in manufacturing or processing industries
Proven expertise in complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
Advanced knowledge of conveyors, motors, pumps, and associated mechanical and electrical systems
Proficient in reading schematics, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement methods
Experience with CMMS, maintenance management, and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
