The Mid-Level Line Mechanic is responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems, motors, pumps, and related mechanical equipment. This role ensures reliable material handling operations and supports continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing environment.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, inspections, and parts replacement on conveyors, motors, and pumps.
Diagnose mechanical faults and electrical issues related to motors and pumps, troubleshoot problems, and perform timely repairs.
Replace and repair mechanical components such as belts, bearings, seals, couplings, and motor parts.
Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and drawings to resolve equipment issues.
Lead response to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
Adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO), safety protocols, and company standards during all maintenance activities.
Participate in safety audits and report hazards or non-compliance issues.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with regulatory and operational safety requirements.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in CMMS.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and team members regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.
Assist in training junior mechanics and operators on basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, or related field preferred
3–5 years of experience maintaining conveyors, motors, pumps, or similar mechanical equipment in manufacturing or processing environments
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment independently
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience on conveyors, motors, pumps, and related systems
Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance documentation
Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to mentor junior staff and share knowledge
