We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Lead Instrumentation Engineer to manage and execute all instrumentation engineering activities across oil & gas projects. This role involves leading project teams, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring that instrumentation systems are designed, procured, and commissioned in accordance with industry standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership qualities, hands-on engineering experience, and in-depth knowledge of process instrumentation in complex industrial environments.
Lead instrumentation engineering efforts for projects from concept through commissioning phases.
Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and instrument index.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, electrical, mechanical, automation) to ensure design alignment.
Select and size field instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature), control valves, and analyzers.
Supervise and mentor junior instrumentation engineers and designers.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ISA, IEC, API) and client specifications.
Support procurement by preparing material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews.
Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), SAT (Site Acceptance Tests), and support commissioning activities.
Ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance throughout instrumentation design and execution.
Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors for technical reviews and project coordination.

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
Minimum 10+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering in the oil & gas or process industries
Proficiency in using instrumentation design software (SPI/Intools, AutoCAD, etc.)
Strong knowledge of international standards (ISA, IEC, API, NEC)
Experience with major control systems (Emerson, Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB, Siemens)
Certification in Functional Safety (e.g., TÜV) is an added advantage
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
