Job Title: Labor Relations Specialist (Senior Level)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Labor Relations Specialist (Senior Level) to lead the company’s labor relations strategy, ensure compliance with labor laws, and manage complex employee relations issues across the organization. This senior role requires a deep understanding of UAE/GCC labor regulations, exceptional conflict resolution skills, and the ability to represent the company in labor disputes and governmental matters. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to management and HR leadership, balancing organizational interests with employee rights and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of high-level employee grievances, misconduct investigations, disciplinary actions, and labor disputes.

  • Advise senior management on UAE/GCC labor law compliance, legal risks, and workforce-related regulatory obligations.

  • Develop and implement labor relations policies, processes, and strategies that promote fairness, transparency, and compliance.

  • Represent the organization in labor hearings, mediations, and negotiations with government and legal authorities.

  • Ensure all HR documentation—including contracts, terminations, warnings, and internal policies—meets regulatory and legal standards.

  • Monitor labor law updates and proactively recommend necessary changes to HR practices and policies.

  • Supervise and guide junior labor relations staff in case management, investigations, and documentation.

  • Maintain relationships with external labor offices, free zone authorities, and legal counsel to manage and resolve complex cases.

  • Conduct training sessions for managers on disciplinary procedures, legal obligations, and employee rights.

  • Lead labor audit readiness and support company-wide compliance initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Law, or Business Administration (Master’s or legal background preferred)

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in labor relations, employee relations, or legal compliance roles

  • In-depth knowledge of UAE/GCC labor laws, free zone rules, and employment dispute mechanisms

  • Proven track record of managing complex labor cases, investigations, and external authority communications

  • Strong negotiation, advisory, and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including report drafting and policy writing

  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with discretion

  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR information systems

  • Fluency in Arabic is a strong advantage
