The Junior Mechanical Engineer supports the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems, components, and manufacturing processes. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and production leads, this role involves CAD modeling, technical documentation, basic calculations, and shop floor support to assist in ensuring product performance, manufacturability, and quality. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to help drive efficient production and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of mechanical parts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing applications
Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor
Support product and process validation through testing, measurements, and data collection
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical and process issues
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and work instructions
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support daily manufacturing needs
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all engineering activities

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required
Experience:
0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical design role (internship/co-op experience acceptable)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar)
Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerancing, and materials
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and assembly
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications
Soft Skills:
