The I&C Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems within plant operations. This role supervises a team of technicians, ensuring reliable and safe control of plant processes while supporting production goals.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of I&C technicians in plant operations.
Monitor and maintain instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, sensors, control valves, and safety interlocks.
Lead troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and control system faults to minimize downtime.
Plan and oversee preventive maintenance and calibration of instrumentation equipment.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on system improvements and projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Maintain detailed documentation and records of maintenance, incidents, and system performance.
Train and mentor technicians and operators on instrumentation systems and safety protocols.
Team Leadership:
Manage and develop a skilled team of I&C technicians to ensure operational excellence.
System Operation & Maintenance:
Ensure reliable and accurate performance of instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshooting & Fault Resolution:
Lead prompt diagnosis and resolution of instrumentation issues impacting plant processes.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to safety and quality standards within the plant.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to support seamless plant operations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records for audits, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
4-7 years of experience in instrumentation and control in plant or process operations.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, sensors, control valves, and industrial automation systems.
Proven supervisory and team management skills.
Effective troubleshooting and communication abilities.
Understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in plant environments.
