We are looking for a skilled and dependable Mid-Level HVAC Technician to support the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems across plant buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems and will play a key role in ensuring temperature control, ventilation quality, and system uptime across mission-critical areas of the facility.
Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, air handlers, cooling towers, compressors, pumps, and ventilation systems.
Conduct thorough diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC system issues using technical manuals, schematics, and system monitoring tools.
Assist with the installation, modification, or replacement of HVAC components in alignment with plant needs.
Monitor system performance to optimize energy efficiency and ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards and plant protocols.
Maintain HVAC logs, reports, and maintenance documentation in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Adhere to safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other regulatory procedures during all tasks.
Support and mentor junior technicians and collaborate with other departments as needed.
HVAC System Reliability
Ensure high availability and minimal downtime of critical HVAC systems serving manufacturing and control areas.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
Independently identify and resolve HVAC faults using tools like multimeters, pressure gauges, and digital controllers.
Preventive Maintenance Execution
Lead routine maintenance tasks and inspections to prevent failures and extend equipment life.
Compliance & Safety
Maintain adherence to plant safety protocols, EPA guidelines (e.g., refrigerant handling), and equipment maintenance records.
Team Collaboration & Support
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and controls teams to resolve HVAC-related issues efficiently.
Provide on-the-job support and knowledge sharing to junior staff.
Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience with HVAC systems in industrial or plant environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC system components and control systems (including BAS/BMS).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, HVAC diagrams, and service manuals.

Familiarity with CMMS platforms and reporting tools.
Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
Experience with energy efficiency initiatives or HVAC system optimization.
Exposure to Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) such as Siemens, Honeywell, or Johnson Controls.
Industrial plant setting, requiring physical mobility, lifting, and exposure to temperature variations, dust, and mechanical hazards.
May involve shift work, overtime, or emergency call-outs depending on plant operations.
