We are seeking a reliable and proactive Junior HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems within plant buildings. The role involves working under the guidance of senior personnel to ensure effective climate control, air quality, and system reliability. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals looking to grow within industrial facilities maintenance.
Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems (including chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, VAV systems, and ductwork).
Conduct routine preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and internal schedules.
Respond to basic HVAC service requests and support emergency troubleshooting.
Replace or repair filters, belts, motors, dampers, and sensors as needed.
Monitor HVAC performance metrics and assist with energy efficiency checks.
Support installation and upgrades of HVAC systems and components.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service documentation.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and plant protocols.
Plant Building HVAC Support
Ensure consistent HVAC performance in critical plant areas including production floors, control rooms, and storage zones.
Preventive Maintenance Execution
Support scheduled maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
System Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor operational parameters and escalate anomalies to senior staff promptly.
Team Collaboration & Learning
Work closely with senior technicians, engineers, and contractors to gain hands-on experience and grow technical skill sets.
Compliance & Safety
Follow lockout/tagout procedures, wear PPE, and adhere to all facility safety rules during maintenance tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification in HVAC preferred.
0–2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance (industrial or commercial environment preferred).
Basic understanding of HVAC system components and functions.
Ability to read technical diagrams and follow maintenance procedures.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights.
Willing to work in shifts, overtime, and plant-specific schedules.
