We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Technician to lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of HVAC systems in a food processing environment. This role ensures that temperature, humidity, ventilation, and air filtration standards are consistently met to support food safety, hygiene, and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in managing day-to-day HVAC operations, ensuring GMP compliance, guiding junior staff, and contributing to energy optimization and equipment reliability initiatives.
Oversee the operation of AHUs, ventilation/exhaust systems, chillers, ducting, and humidity control systems.
Monitor environmental conditions across various zones and ensure system calibration for production needs.
Review HVAC system performance data to drive operational improvements.
Lead the execution of preventive maintenance schedules for all HVAC systems.
Diagnose and repair complex faults involving electrical, mechanical, and control system components.
Coordinate external service providers for specialized maintenance and system upgrades.
Ensure HVAC operations align with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and food safety standards.
Support air quality testing, differential pressure monitoring, and temperature mapping activities.
Maintain detailed records, logs, and CMMS entries for audits and regulatory inspections.
Mentor and train junior HVAC technicians in troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, and GMP-compliant practices.
Assist in the development of SOPs, PM checklists, and maintenance protocols.
Support engineering and QA teams during commissioning, validation, and system modifications.
Identify and implement energy-saving opportunities in HVAC operations.
Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and recurring issues.
Recommend upgrades or replacements for aging or inefficient HVAC components.

6+ years of experience in industrial HVAC systems, ideally in food, pharmaceutical, or FMCG environments.
Strong understanding of clean air principles, temperature/humidity control, and regulatory compliance in food-grade facilities.
Hands-on experience with AHUs, chilled water systems, BMS/BAS integration, and air balancing.
Familiarity with HVAC design drawings, SOPs, and system validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of CMMS, energy efficiency practices, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., RCA, 5S).
