We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Junior HVAC Technician to support the operation, inspection, and basic maintenance of HVAC systems within a food processing facility. The role focuses on ensuring temperature, airflow, and humidity control across production, packaging, and cold storage areas to support hygiene, safety, and process requirements.
This is an entry-level role designed for individuals with foundational technical knowledge in HVAC who are eager to develop expertise in food-grade production environments.
Perform routine checks of AHUs, exhaust fans, ducting, and ventilation systems.
Monitor temperature and humidity readings in processing zones and report deviations.
Assist in filter inspections and replacements (pre, fine, or HEPA where applicable).
Support cleaning and minor servicing of air handling units, condensers, and evaporators.
Help maintain compressors, belts, motors, and drain systems under supervision.
Assist in cleaning coils and checking airflow paths to avoid blockages or inefficiencies.
Report noise, vibration, or abnormal HVAC behavior to senior technicians.
Ensure cleanliness of HVAC panels and mechanical areas.
Support shutdown/start-up procedures during maintenance or shift changes.
Follow GMP and food safety protocols when working in production areas.
Ensure no cross-contamination from maintenance activities.
Comply with PPE and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain checklists and assist in updating basic maintenance records.
Record and report basic fault findings or system observations in logbooks or CMMS.

ITI or Diploma in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
0–2 years of experience in HVAC systems (experience in food, pharma, or cleanrooms is a plus).
Basic knowledge of HVAC components such as AHUs, chillers, ducting, filters, and fans.
Familiarity with cleanroom or hygiene-controlled environments.
Basic understanding of airflow, pressure differential, and filtration in HVAC.
Eagerness to learn and follow SOPs and safety protocols.
