The Senior HVAC Technician – Assembly Line leads and oversees the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of HVAC equipment in a manufacturing setting. This senior role requires deep technical expertise, leadership in quality assurance, mentoring of junior staff, and active collaboration with engineering and production teams to ensure the highest standards of product performance and reliability.
Lead the assembly of complex HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, heat pumps, and control systems following detailed engineering specifications.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues during assembly and testing.
Implement best practices for assembly efficiency and product quality.
Provide technical guidance to production teams on assembly techniques and problem-solving.
Develop and oversee comprehensive testing protocols to verify HVAC product performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate with quality and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
Ensure all assembled products meet regulatory and company quality standards before shipment.
Lead continuous improvement projects focused on assembly processes, equipment utilization, and safety protocols.
Promote and enforce strict adherence to workplace safety standards and use of PPE.
Train and mentor technicians on safety best practices, assembly skills, and quality standards.
Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level HVAC technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production management to optimize assembly workflows and resolve production challenges.
Communicate effectively across departments to support manufacturing goals and product launch schedules.

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Expert-level mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
