The Mid-Level HVAC Technician – Assembly Line plays a key role in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of HVAC equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position requires a solid understanding of HVAC components and systems, the ability to interpret technical documents, and the skills to identify and resolve assembly and functional issues to ensure production efficiency and product reliability.
Assemble complex HVAC components and systems such as air handling units, chillers, heat pumps, and controls according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform wiring, soldering, piping, and mechanical assembly tasks with precision and consistency.
Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify assembly quality and compliance with product standards.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and testing phases.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on assembly processes and equipment.
Execute functional testing of HVAC units including pressure tests, electrical continuity, and operational performance tests.
Document test results, identify defects, and coordinate corrective actions with quality and engineering teams.
Ensure products meet safety and regulatory compliance before shipment.
Adhere strictly to safety policies, procedures, and use of PPE to maintain a safe working environment.
Follow manufacturing protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
Participate in safety and process training sessions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality inspectors to resolve assembly and performance issues.
Mentor junior technicians by providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Communicate effectively within the team and across departments to support production goals.

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Technical certification or diploma in HVAC technology, mechanical assembly, or related field preferred
2–5 years of experience in HVAC assembly, manufacturing, or technician roles
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
