The HVAC Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations of HVAC products, ensuring production targets for quality, cost, and delivery are consistently met. This role manages production teams, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. The Production Manager works closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams to support smooth and scalable HVAC manufacturing processes.
Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to meet or exceed production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
Supervise and lead production staff, including supervisors, operators, and support personnel.
Monitor production KPIs such as throughput, yield, scrap rates, and downtime, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
Support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure production readiness.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., AHRI, ISO).
Work closely with Quality Assurance to enforce inspection protocols and maintain product conformance.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for production defects and non-conformances.
Build and develop a skilled production workforce through training, coaching, and performance management.
Foster a safe, engaged, and collaborative team culture.
Coordinate shift schedules, labor resources, and workflow to maximize operational efficiency.
Liaise with supply chain to ensure material availability and manage inventory levels.
Partner with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
Communicate production status, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications in manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous
7+ years of manufacturing experience with 3+ years in production management, preferably in HVAC or related mechanical equipment industries
Proven ability to lead production teams and deliver operational targets in a high-volume environment
Strong understanding of HVAC product manufacturing processes and equipment
Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and ERP/MES systems
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of safety and quality
