The HVAC Module Assembly Supervisor (Mid-Level) manages daily production activities for the assembly of automotive HVAC modules, including blowers, evaporators, heater cores, actuators, and ducting systems. This role ensures that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met, while coordinating personnel and optimizing line efficiency. The supervisor plays a key role in resolving production issues, training operators, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to enhance product consistency and throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day HVAC module assembly operations to meet build schedules, productivity goals, and quality metrics.
Monitor workstation performance and address bottlenecks or operator concerns to maintain steady line flow.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), torque specifications, and in-process inspection criteria.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead shift meetings, assign tasks to operators, and track workforce efficiency and absenteeism.
Conduct quality audits and support first-time quality goals by coaching operators on best practices and inspection points.
Maintain safety compliance through proactive auditing, incident reporting, and adherence to ergonomic standards.
Contribute to the onboarding and cross-training of new and existing team members.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in an automotive assembly environment, preferably in HVAC module or thermal systems production
1+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of HVAC module components and manufacturing tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and control plans
Familiarity with quality tools (5 Why, Pareto, Fishbone) and lean manufacturing practices
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational and team management abilities
Clear communicator with problem-solving mindset
Comfortable in a fast-paced production setting with changing priorities
