We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior HVAC Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee all HVAC operations within our food production facility. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise in HVAC systems, strong people management skills, and a thorough understanding of food safety and compliance standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring optimal environmental conditions for food processing while maximizing energy efficiency and system reliability.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring skill development and task accountability.
Plan and assign daily maintenance activities and emergency response tasks.
Coordinate cross-functional maintenance efforts with electrical, utilities, and production departments.
Lead the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HVAC systems including:
Chillers, air handling units (AHUs), boilers
Ventilation and filtration systems
Cold storage and refrigeration (Freon/ammonia-based)
Ensure all systems operate within validated parameters to maintain hygienic and temperature-controlled environments.
Develop, implement, and optimize a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan using CMMS tools.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring issues and apply corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime.
Ensure all HVAC systems comply with food safety standards: HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and company policies.
Maintain validated conditions for clean zones, temperature-controlled areas, and positive/negative air pressure systems.
Prepare for and support food safety, environmental, and regulatory audits.
Monitor energy consumption of HVAC systems and initiate efficiency-improving projects.
Recommend and implement system upgrades or replacements to reduce operational costs.
Maintain accurate records for inspections, work orders, spare parts, and service reports.
Generate performance reports, downtime logs, and KPI dashboards for management review.
Participate in CAPEX planning related to HVAC infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
Liaise with OEMs, contractors, and external vendors for large-scale repair or installation projects.
Review and approve technical specifications and project timelines.

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
7+ years of HVAC maintenance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity within the food manufacturing sector.
Strong understanding of food industry compliance standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO).
Hands-on experience with ammonia or Freon-based refrigeration systems.
Proficient in CMMS platforms, BMS systems, and maintenance planning.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including emergency callouts.
Certification in HVAC (EPA, NATE, ASHRAE, etc.).
Experience in Lean Maintenance or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
Exposure to automated and PLC-controlled HVAC systems.
Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices.
