We are looking for a skilled and hands-on HVAC Maintenance Supervisor with mid-level experience to manage and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and compliance of HVAC systems in a high-standard food production facility. This role demands technical expertise, team leadership, and a strong understanding of hygiene and safety regulations specific to the food industry.
Oversee the maintenance and operation of all HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), chillers, boilers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units (ammonia or Freon-based).
Implement and manage a preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize downtime.
Monitor equipment performance and ensure optimal indoor climate conditions to support production and product quality.
Ensure HVAC operations meet food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP, GMP, ISO, and facility-specific audit requirements.
Support and maintain appropriate air filtration and pressure zoning in critical areas (e.g., cleanrooms, processing zones).
Lead a team of HVAC technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance.
Conduct regular training for maintenance staff on equipment handling, safety procedures, and food facility protocols.
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Report on HVAC system KPIs and support energy efficiency tracking and improvement efforts.
Respond to HVAC-related breakdowns and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to food production.
Coordinate with production and QA teams to resolve environmental condition deviations.
Assist in planning and executing HVAC upgrades, retrofits, or expansions.
Coordinate with external contractors/vendors for specialized services, equipment procurement, or system installations.

Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
4–7 years of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably within a food processing or cold chain facility.
Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, BMS, VFDs, and PLC-integrated HVAC controls.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Understanding of HVAC safety protocols and food industry regulatory requirements.
HVAC Certification (EPA, NATE, etc.).
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of LEED or energy optimization initiatives is a plus.
