Job Title: HR Compliance Specialist (Senior Level)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR Compliance Specialist (Senior Level) to lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of HR compliance programs across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring alignment with labor laws, regulatory requirements, corporate governance, and internal HR policies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in employment law, risk management, and policy enforcement and serves as the key advisor to HR and business leadership on all compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive HR compliance frameworks that align with national labor laws and international standards.

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal audits, regulatory inspections, and legal reviews involving HR documentation and practices.

  • Monitor changes in employment law and labor regulations (e.g., UAE/GCC laws) and proactively update internal policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular audits of employee files, contracts, visa and permit documentation, and HR systems to ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Oversee the tracking and timely renewal of work permits, visas, employee certifications, and regulatory filings.

  • Collaborate with legal counsel, HRBPs, and senior management to investigate compliance violations and recommend resolutions.

  • Develop and deliver compliance training to HR staff, managers, and employees across business units.

  • Maintain accurate reporting and records for audit readiness, regulatory submissions, and executive presentations.

  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies and support change management initiatives related to HR governance.

  • Contribute to the ethical and legal culture of the organization by promoting transparency, fairness, and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 6–8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on compliance, labor law, and policy governance

  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation (UAE/GCC preferred), visa/immigration processes, and HR best practices

  • Demonstrated experience leading internal audits and regulatory reviews

  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems and document management platforms

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Compliance or legal certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, CIPD, or labor law credentials) are a strong advantage
