The Global Head – Process Control and Industrial Digitization is a senior leader responsible for driving global strategies in process automation, advanced control systems, and digital transformation across manufacturing sites. This role leads the standardization, modernization, and integration of control technologies with cutting-edge digital tools to enhance efficiency, safety, and agility in industrial operations.
Define and implement the global strategy for process control systems and digital enablement across production facilities.
Lead deployment of advanced process control (APC), distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and SCADA systems.
Oversee integration of control systems with MES, ERP, and industrial IoT platforms to enable smart manufacturing.
Drive digital innovation through the adoption of AI/ML, real-time analytics, and cloud technologies to optimize process performance.
Develop global standards, governance frameworks, and architecture guidelines for control and digital systems.
Collaborate with global engineering, operations, IT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure system interoperability, safety, and resilience.
Lead and mentor a global team of control engineers, automation experts, and digital specialists.
Monitor emerging technologies and benchmark industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Ensure systems comply with international safety and cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 61511, IEC 62443).
Global Process Control Standardization:
Harmonize control system design, configuration, and lifecycle management across global operations.
Industrial Digitization Strategy:
Define and lead initiatives that embed digital tools into control environments (e.g., digital twins, AI-driven optimization, remote monitoring).
Advanced Control Technologies:
Deploy and optimize APC, MPC, and real-time feedback systems to improve yield, throughput, and energy efficiency.
IT/OT Integration:
Bridge operational technology (OT) with enterprise IT systems for end-to-end process visibility and control.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and regulatory compliance in all control systems worldwide.
Innovation & Emerging Tech:
Introduce scalable digital solutions such as edge analytics, cloud-native control, and smart sensors.
Leadership & Capability Building:
Build a high-performing global team and develop the next generation of digital and control engineering leaders.
Vendor and Partner Management:
Lead global engagements with technology vendors, integrators, and academic/research institutions to enhance digital capability.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Systems, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
15+ years of leadership experience in process control and industrial automation within global manufacturing or process industries.
Strong technical knowledge in DCS, PLCs, SCADA, APC, and emerging digital technologies (AI/ML, IIoT, cloud platforms).
Proven experience driving digital transformation and IT/OT convergence across large-scale operations.
Deep understanding of international safety and security standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and global stakeholder management skills.
