We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external reporting standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain and update financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting activities.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather and verify financial data.
Help ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and controls.
Accuracy in Financial Records: Ensure all financial entries are properly recorded and reconciled.
Timely Reporting: Support financial closing activities and preparation of reports.
Compliance & Controls: Adhere to internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with finance colleagues and cross-functional departments.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of financial processes and systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of tax regulations and local compliance requirements is a plus.
Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
