Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble critical components such as rotors, bearings, diaphragms, fuel nozzles, combustion liners, and turbine blades.
Perform high-precision measurements and alignments (shaft alignment, rotor runout, tip clearance, bearing tolerances) using advanced tools and methods.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist in root cause analysis (RCA) of turbine failures or abnormalities.
Interpret and execute tasks based on OEM manuals, technical drawings, and P&IDs.
Coordinate with maintenance planners, QA/QC, and OEM field service representatives during outages and overhauls.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices, promoting high standards of workmanship and safety.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, measurements, and inspections in CMMS or technical logs.
Recommend improvements in maintenance methods, tools, and materials based on field experience.
Carry out and supervise technically complex tasks related to turbine disassembly, inspection, and reassembly.
Apply expert knowledge of turbine components and failure modes.
Lead the team in conducting critical measurements to ensure OEM tolerances are maintained.
