Job Title: Fuel System Engineer (Mechanical Focus)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fuel System Engineer (Mechanical Focus) to join our engineering team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in the design, development, testing, and optimization of fuel systems for various automotive or aerospace applications. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that fuel system components are designed for safety, performance, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel System Design Support: Assist in the design and development of mechanical components for fuel systems, including fuel pumps, tanks, filters, and lines. Use CAD software to create basic models, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Component Testing & Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of fuel system components. Support testing teams by preparing prototypes, gathering test data, and performing analysis to assess the performance, durability, and safety of fuel systems.
- Prototyping & Assembly: Help in the prototyping, assembly, and integration of fuel system components into complete systems. Work with senior engineers to ensure the design meets all mechanical and safety requirements.
- Material Selection & Analysis: Assist in selecting appropriate materials for fuel system components based on mechanical and chemical properties. Conduct basic material analysis and collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality materials are used in designs.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Support the identification and resolution of mechanical issues in fuel system designs, offering solutions to improve performance and functionality. Assist in investigating failures and suggesting design improvements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Help maintain thorough documentation of design changes, testing results, and component specifications. Assist in preparing reports for senior engineers and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other engineering teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure fuel systems meet all technical requirements and project goals.
- Continuous Learning & Development: Participate in training programs and workshops to develop a deeper understanding of fuel system design and mechanical engineering principles. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to fuel systems.

- Fuel System Component Design: Assist in the design of mechanical components related to fuel systems, ensuring functionality, performance, and safety.
- Testing & Validation Support: Help conduct testing to validate fuel system components, ensuring that designs meet operational and safety requirements.
- Prototyping & Manufacturing Integration: Assist in the creation and integration of prototypes, ensuring that all components are correctly assembled and tested.
- Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: Support the identification of issues and contribute ideas for design optimization and performance improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience with fuel systems or automotive/aerospace engineering is a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Knowledge of mechanical design principles, material selection, and basic testing/validation techniques.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to assist in identifying issues and proposing solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and communicate findings clearly.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating with other engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in design, testing, and documentation to ensure quality and safety.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- CAD software certifications (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of basic fuel systems or automotive/aerospace industry standards is a plus.
