We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior Field Services Supervisor – Turbomachinery to lead complex outage and commissioning operations for gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and other critical rotating equipment. This role demands exceptional field leadership, advanced mechanical knowledge, and the ability to execute high-stakes turbine projects in fast-paced industrial environments such as power generation, oil & gas, and process industries.
The Senior Supervisor is expected to act as the primary on-site authority, guiding teams, resolving technical challenges, and interfacing directly with customer stakeholders to ensure safety, compliance, and successful project delivery.
Lead and manage turbine installation, disassembly, inspection, overhaul, and reassembly at power plants, refineries, and industrial sites.
Supervise large, cross-functional field teams including mechanical technicians, OEM technical advisors, riggers, and subcontractors.
Serve as the on-site technical authority for mechanical integrity, alignment, vibration, and rotating equipment health.
Plan and coordinate full-scope turbine outages, retrofits, upgrades, and emergency repairs.
Oversee logistics planning, tooling setup, spare part readiness, and workforce mobilization.
Execute field scopes in alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Perform and guide complex alignment tasks, bearing replacements, seal/gasket installations, and component fit-up checks.
Troubleshoot mechanical anomalies during disassembly, startup, or operational testing.
Provide on-site RCA support in case of failure, nonconformance, or vibration issues.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during field execution phases.
Prepare detailed daily reports, final job documentation, punch lists, and project closeout summaries.
Support technical feedback to engineering, quality, and performance improvement teams.
Enforce all safety standards including LOTO, hot work, confined space, and rigging/lifting operations.
Lead job safety analyses (JSAs), daily toolbox talks, and HAZID reviews.
Actively identify and mitigate job site risks.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a relevant technical field.
OEM technical training or certification (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Alstom) strongly preferred.
8–15+ years of field experience with turbomachinery maintenance and overhauls, including 5+ years in a supervisory or site management role.
Proven success in executing full-scope outages for Frame-type, aeroderivative, and/or industrial steam turbines.
Expertise in interpreting OEM manuals, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and alignment specs.
Strong command of rotating equipment fundamentals—vibration, balancing, clearances, thermal growth, rotor dynamics.
Skilled in advanced field tools: laser alignment, borescopes, hydraulic jacks, precision torque tools.
