We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Junior Field Services Supervisor β Turbomachinery to assist in the coordination, supervision, and execution of field activities related to gas and steam turbine maintenance, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality service to clients while ensuring technical compliance and operational excellence on-site.
This is a developmental role ideal for professionals looking to grow into senior field leadership or technical service management in the turbomachinery space.
Assist in supervising on-site turbine maintenance and repair activities, including disassembly, inspection, alignment, reassembly, and commissioning.
Coordinate daily tasks for technicians, mechanics, and subcontractors at job sites.
Ensure all tools, consumables, and documentation are ready prior to field deployments.
Support the preparation of work scopes, job safety analyses (JSAs), lift plans, and work packages.
Track project milestones, field service timelines, and task completion against plan.
Ensure compliance with OEM manuals, quality plans, and customer specifications.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve on-site technical challenges, including alignment issues, component wear, and tolerance deviations.
Participate in vibration checks, borescope inspections, and test runs during commissioning/start-up.
Escalate major findings or critical deviations to senior engineers or managers.
Record field observations, inspection data, and maintenance actions in job reports.
Assist in preparing service completion reports, punch lists, and redlined drawings.
Ensure site documentation is updated and properly filed post-job.
Interface with client representatives for daily progress updates, job closeout meetings, and field coordination.
Coordinate with vendors and OEM reps for parts delivery, service bulletins, and technical support.
Promote and enforce strict adherence to site HSE policies, LOTO procedures, and incident reporting protocols.
Support field safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
Diploma or Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
OEM-specific training or certifications (GE, Siemens, Alstom, Mitsubishi) is a plus.
2β5 years of hands-on experience in field service for rotating equipment (gas/steam turbines, compressors, or generators).
Experience as a field technician or lead mechanic transitioning into a supervisory role is welcomed.
Understanding of gas and steam turbine components, alignment techniques, and operational principles.
Familiar with technical drawings, OEM service bulletins, P&IDs, and tolerancing standards.
Proficient in using standard tooling and lifting/rigging equipment.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, field reporting tools, and CMMS platforms.
