Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Field Service Technician specializing in turbines to join our team. In this role, you will assist senior technicians in performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas or steam turbines at client sites. This position is ideal for candidates eager to build hands-on experience in turbine mechanical systems while supporting field service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Turbine Installation & Maintenance Support:

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of gas or steam turbines under supervision.

• Support routine maintenance activities such as lubrication, cleaning, and component inspections.

• Help perform troubleshooting and basic repairs following established procedures and guidelines.

Field Service Assistance:

• Travel to client locations to provide on-site technical support and service assistance.

• Prepare and maintain service tools, equipment, and documentation needed for turbine work.

• Work alongside experienced technicians to learn diagnostic techniques and turbine system components.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) during fieldwork.

• Ensure compliance with site-specific safety and environmental regulations.

• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.

Documentation:

• Assist in completing service reports, maintenance logs, and work orders accurately.

• Keep records of turbine service activities and spare parts usage.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Turbine Technology, or related field

• Relevant apprenticeships or vocational training is a plus

Experience:

• 0-2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or field service roles (internships or industrial training acceptable)

• Basic knowledge of turbine components and mechanical systems preferred

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with mechanical tools and measuring instruments

• Basic understanding of rotating equipment and machinery

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic field environment

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to travel frequently and work at client sites
