We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Field Service Technician – Mechanical Systems to lead complex mechanical service operations across field locations. This role is ideal for professionals with 7+ years of hands-on experience who can independently execute, supervise, and troubleshoot maintenance and installation projects involving valves, pumps, compressors, rotating and static equipment. The successful candidate will also mentor junior staff, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and serve as the technical point of contact for client engagements.
Lead the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of complex mechanical systems and equipment, including rotating machinery, valve systems, piping, and hydraulic components.
Resolve advanced technical issues and provide on-site solutions, minimizing equipment downtime.
Ensure the execution of all work complies with engineering standards, technical procedures, and customer requirements.
Supervise multi-disciplinary teams during field service assignments.
Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, providing guidance, updates, and detailed explanations of work performed.
Train and mentor junior technicians, ensuring knowledge transfer and performance quality.
Oversee mechanical equipment installation and system commissioning in field environments, including alignment, functional testing, and verification.
Ensure all tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and within project specifications.
Compile thorough reports on diagnostics, repair actions, parts replacements, and performance testing.
Maintain comprehensive service records, including work permits, risk assessments, and inspection checklists.
Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
Ensure full compliance with all HSE regulations, permit-to-work systems, and PPE standards during field activities.

7+ years of progressive experience in field mechanical services, including work in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
Proven ability to handle critical shutdowns, startups, and emergency repair operations.
Expert-level mechanical troubleshooting and equipment knowledge
Leadership and team management in field environments
Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Adaptability to travel, high-pressure scenarios, and harsh environments
HSE certifications (OSHA, H2S, Confined Space Entry)
OEM equipment training (valves, pumps, compressors, turbines)
Permit-to-work, rigging, or mechanical integrity certificates are advantageous
