We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mid-Level Field Service Technician to perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems at power plant facilities. This role requires solid hands-on experience, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a service team to ensure reliable boiler performance and customer satisfaction.
Independently carry out boiler system inspections, diagnostics, and repairs including pressure parts, burners, control systems, and auxiliaries.
Lead installation, commissioning, and startup of boiler equipment at client sites.
Utilize diagnostic tools such as combustion analyzers, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors for troubleshooting.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boiler components, including cleaning, adjustments, gasket replacements, and minor welding repairs.
Coordinate with plant maintenance and engineering teams to address complex issues and support outage activities.
Document service work and provide detailed reports to clients and internal teams.
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and PPE usage during all field activities.
Comply with client-specific requirements, industry standards (e.g., ASME), and environmental regulations.
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of field safety practices.
Serve as the primary technical contact on-site for clients during service visits.
Provide clear explanations of issues, recommended solutions, and maintenance best practices.
Assist in training client personnel on boiler operation and routine maintenance procedures.
Stay current with advances in boiler technology, controls, and service techniques.
Mentor junior technicians and share knowledge gained from field experience.
Participate in ongoing professional development and certification programs.

Education:
Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or related field
Certifications (Required or Preferred):
Valid Boiler Operator License or relevant field service certifications
Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, Confined Space Entry, and Hot Work preferred
Experience:
3–6 years of hands-on field service experience with boilers in power plants or industrial environments
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with boiler systems, burner controls, and auxiliary equipment
Skills:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in field settings
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently and lead small service teams
