The Junior Field Service Supervisor – Hydro Turbine Units assists in coordinating, supervising, and executing on-site maintenance, installation, inspection, and troubleshooting activities related to hydro turbine units in water or energy utility settings. The role involves supporting senior supervisors and field engineers in ensuring equipment reliability, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining performance standards for rotating equipment at hydropower or energy recovery facilities.
Assist in supervising day-to-day field activities for the inspection, installation, alignment, and commissioning of hydro turbines and auxiliary systems.
Monitor worksite safety, ensure compliance with procedures, and report on field conditions.
Support scheduled and emergency maintenance operations on turbines, valves, shafts, seals, and bearings.
Collaborate with senior technicians and vendors during field servicing and overhauls.
Collect operational data and assist in identifying performance issues such as vibration, cavitation, and mechanical wear.
Document service activities, update logs, and report discrepancies to senior supervisors.
Coordinate with mechanical fitters, electricians, crane operators, and OEM representatives during field assignments.
Support logistical planning, including tool preparation, spare parts availability, and site mobilization.

Familiarity with hydro turbine components, alignment techniques, and basic maintenance practices
Ability to read technical drawings, alignment charts, and equipment specifications
Strong willingness to work in field environments and travel to remote sites
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and attention to technical details
Basic knowledge of hydro turbine mechanics and rotating machinery fundamentals
Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills
