We are seeking a seasoned Senior Field Maintenance Supervisor – Valves to lead and manage all valve maintenance activities in a demanding industrial environment such as power plants, oil & gas facilities, or petrochemical plants. This role demands strong leadership, advanced technical expertise, and strategic oversight to ensure valve reliability, operational safety, and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will drive maintenance excellence, mentor field teams, and collaborate with engineering and operations to optimize valve performance and maintenance practices.
Lead and manage a large team of valve maintenance supervisors, technicians, and contractors across multiple shifts or sites.
Develop work plans, allocate resources, and prioritize valve maintenance activities to meet operational and project schedules.
Coach, mentor, and develop field maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for all valve types, including critical safety valves, control valves, and actuated valves.
Coordinate valve maintenance activities during planned shutdowns, turnarounds, or emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with technical and safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering to review valve failure data, root cause analyses, and implement reliability improvement programs.
Ensure all valve maintenance procedures, inspections, and repairs comply with applicable codes, standards (API, ASME, ANSI), and internal policies.
Approve inspection reports, valve test results, and maintenance documentation.
Lead quality assurance and safety audits related to valve maintenance operations.
Liaise with operations, engineering, procurement, and client representatives to ensure smooth valve maintenance execution and problem resolution.
Provide regular status updates, KPI reports, and maintenance performance metrics to senior management.
Manage budget, material usage, and tool inventories associated with valve maintenance.
Drive initiatives for optimizing valve maintenance processes, introducing new technologies, and adopting best practices.
Lead investigations into valve failures and recommend design or operational changes to improve reliability.
Promote training programs and competency development within the maintenance team.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; advanced certifications preferred
Certifications:
Professional certifications such as API 598, API 6D, ASME Section VIII, CSWIP, or equivalent
Safety and leadership training (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in valve maintenance within heavy industry (power, oil & gas, petrochemical)
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing large teams and complex valve maintenance projects
Skills:
Expert knowledge of valve technologies, failure mechanisms, and repair techniques
Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities
Proficient in CMMS and maintenance planning software
Ability to manage budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations
