Job Title: Field Maintenance Supervisor – Valves 

Job Summary:

We are hiring a skilled and reliable Field Maintenance Supervisor – Valves to oversee field maintenance activities of critical valve systems in power plants, refineries, or heavy industrial settings. This role involves supervising maintenance teams, coordinating shutdowns, ensuring compliance with maintenance procedures, and maintaining valve integrity through preventive and corrective work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in valve maintenance and strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Supervision & Maintenance Execution

  • Lead field teams in the inspection, disassembly, maintenance, and reassembly of a variety of valves, including safety relief valves (SRVs), MOVs, control valves, and isolation valves.

  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on valves in live systems or during scheduled shutdowns.

  • Verify that maintenance procedures are performed according to technical manuals and standard practices.

Team Management & Coordination

  • Assign daily tasks to technicians, mechanics, and support staff, ensuring efficiency and adherence to timelines.

  • Supervise troubleshooting of valve leaks, actuation failures, and sealing issues in the field.

  • Coordinate with operations, planning, and permit teams to align maintenance scope and schedules.

Safety & Compliance Oversight

  • Enforce LOTO procedures, confined space entry protocols, and field safety regulations during valve interventions.

  • Conduct or participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.

  • Ensure maintenance tasks follow relevant industry codes (API, ASME, ANSI) and internal safety procedures.

Resource & Documentation Management

  • Track maintenance records, valve histories, spare parts consumption, and field test reports.

  • Maintain valve tagging, lubrication logs, and torque specifications.

  • Provide input for shutdown planning, resource allocation, and tool inventory management.

Problem Solving & Technical Support

  • Diagnose common field issues such as stem wear, actuator misalignment, packing leaks, and seat damage.

  • Escalate complex repair requirements to engineering or workshop teams as needed.

  • Recommend design or material changes based on frequent failure patterns.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Mid-level field supervision and technical troubleshooting

  • Compliance with safety and industry standards

  • Maintenance planning, execution, and reporting

  • Coordination across disciplines during field maintenance

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent technical discipline

Certifications (Preferred):

  • API 598 / 6D familiarity, LOTO Training, OSHA or plant-specific safety training

  • Valve manufacturer or actuator OEM training (desirable)

Experience:

  • 4–6 years of mechanical maintenance experience, including 2–3 years of valve-specific work in field environments

  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience on maintenance teams preferred

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of valve construction, failure modes, and field repair techniques

  • Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, and maintenance procedures

  • Strong communication and planning skills

  • Familiar with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.) for job tracking
