We are seeking a proactive and technically inclined Junior Field Maintenance Supervisor – Valves to support field-based maintenance and minor repair activities on industrial valves. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with hands-on mechanical maintenance experience who are looking to take their first step into leadership. You will assist in coordinating valve maintenance tasks, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and support documentation and reporting.
Assist in supervising on-site inspection, cleaning, greasing, tightening, and minor repair of valves including gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, and control valves.
Monitor valve conditions during shutdowns or scheduled preventive maintenance.
Ensure proper disassembly and reassembly techniques are followed during field repairs.
Support daily job planning and work assignment for valve maintenance technicians and helpers.
Provide basic hands-on guidance during valve servicing, tagging, and testing activities.
Maintain daily maintenance logs and support job completion reporting.
Ensure field crew follows lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry procedures during valve work.
Promote use of correct PPE and adherence to site safety policies.
Support toolbox talks and participate in job safety analysis (JSA) meetings.
Assist with tracking tools and equipment needed for valve maintenance activities.
Monitor usage of gaskets, packing, lubricants, and sealing materials.
Document maintenance activities and update valve condition logs.
Learn to interpret valve maintenance manuals, datasheets, and torque specifications.
Participate in training sessions on valve diagnostics, seat leak testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Shadow senior supervisors to build understanding of isolation plans, risk assessment, and planning.

Education:
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or a related field
Experience:
1–2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably with exposure to industrial valves
Field or utility plant experience preferred
Skills:
Basic understanding of valve types and maintenance procedures
Ability to read simple mechanical diagrams and valve drawings
Strong sense of safety, teamwork, and responsibility
Willingness to learn and work in field conditions
