We are looking for a seasoned Senior Field Instrumentation Technician to manage the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of field instrumentation across manufacturing and process facilities. This role ensures the reliability, accuracy, and safety of critical instrumentation used in process control, safety systems, and operational monitoring.
Lead on-site installation, calibration, and commissioning of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
Perform loop checks, functional testing, and integration with DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.
Diagnose faults and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for sensors, analyzers, control valves, and signal transmitters.
Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with site safety policies and standards during field operations.
Provide technical support to junior technicians and coordinate with control engineers during plant upgrades and shutdowns.
Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, calibration certificates, and instrumentation logs.
Process Instrumentation Reliability: Ensuring consistent performance of instrumentation in high-demand industrial environments.
Hazardous Area Compliance: Working with intrinsically safe and explosion-proof instruments (ATEX/IECEx).
Calibration Standards: Using high-precision tools and reference equipment for sensor calibration.
Control Integration: Ensuring accurate signal communication between field instruments and control systems (HART, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus).
Maintenance Best Practices: Implementing condition-based and predictive maintenance strategies.
Shutdown & Turnaround Support: Instrumentation readiness and verification during planned plant outages.
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
7+ years of field experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation brands (e.g., Yokogawa, Emerson, Endress+Hauser, Siemens).
Proficient with calibration tools (Fluke, Beamex, etc.) and diagnostics software.
Good understanding of industrial safety practices (LOTO, confined space, hot work permits).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
