The Facilities Systems Manager (HVAC/Mechanical) oversees the operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC and mechanical systems supporting power plant facilities. This role ensures all building and plant environmental control systems function reliably and efficiently to meet operational and safety requirements. The manager leads maintenance teams, manages vendor relationships, and drives initiatives to improve system performance and energy efficiency.
Manage the operation and maintenance of HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical systems within power plant buildings and associated facilities.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all facility mechanical systems.
Monitor system performance and coordinate timely repairs and upgrades to maintain optimal conditions.
Supervise facilities maintenance personnel, including HVAC technicians and mechanical staff.
Provide training, coaching, and performance management to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Promote adherence to safety standards and best practices within the team.
Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and system installations.
Oversee contract negotiations, work scheduling, and quality control.
Ensure vendor compliance with safety and technical specifications.
Enforce compliance with all safety regulations and facility standards related to mechanical and HVAC systems.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Maintain records and documentation to support regulatory and internal audits.
Prepare and manage budgets related to facilities mechanical systems maintenance and operations.
Optimize resource allocation to balance operational reliability with cost efficiency.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field

Experience supervising maintenance teams and managing contractors
Skills:
Strong technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems used in large facilities
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
