The Facilities Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure. This role ensures that all engineering systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Facilities Engineering Manager leads a team of engineers and technicians, managing day-to-day facility operations and long-term asset management strategies.
Plan, manage, and optimize the operation and maintenance of building systems and infrastructure.
Lead a team of facility engineers and maintenance technicians to ensure high operational uptime.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Oversee upgrades, retrofits, and modifications of facility systems for performance, sustainability, and compliance.
Manage capital improvement projects and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
Monitor energy usage and implement cost-effective energy-saving solutions.
Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets and capital expenditure plans.
Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure building readiness in case of system failures or incidents.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in facilities or building systems management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, fire safety, water treatment, and control systems.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
Experience in managing outsourced service providers and contractors.
Certification in Facilities Management (CFM, FMP) or related engineering licenses.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
