The Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety. This senior-level role involves supervising maintenance teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and driving continuous improvement in facility performance and sustainability.
Oversee the operation, inspection, and maintenance of all facility systems and infrastructure.
Lead the planning and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
Supervise and guide facilities technicians, contractors, and service providers.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and environmental standards.
Coordinate and monitor major repairs, refurbishments, and system upgrades.
Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement of maintenance supplies.
Evaluate building performance and recommend improvements in energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct risk assessments and support business continuity and emergency response planning.
Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to facilities operations and maintenance.
Support budgeting and capital planning for facility infrastructure and improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
7–10+ years of experience in facilities engineering or building systems management.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and BMS systems.
Familiarity with CMMS platforms and facility reporting tools.
Strong understanding of local regulations, health and safety standards, and building codes.
Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to manage teams and vendors.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess system performance and implement improvements.
Experience in managing facilities in critical environments (e.g., hospitals, data centers, high-rises) is a plus.
