The Junior Facilities Engineer supports the maintenance, operation, and improvement of building systems and infrastructure. This entry-level role assists in ensuring that facilities run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards and local regulations, while gaining experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
Support preventive maintenance schedules and document maintenance activities.
Respond to minor repair requests and escalate major issues to senior staff.
Assist in coordinating contractors and service providers for facility-related works.
Maintain logs and records of work orders, inspections, and equipment usage.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Participate in energy-saving and sustainability initiatives where applicable.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.
0–2 years of experience in facilities operations or maintenance (internship or training acceptable).
Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
Familiarity with tools, safety equipment, and standard facility management procedures.
Willingness to learn and take initiative under supervision.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, CMMS tools is a plus).
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
