Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mid-Level Fabrication Technician to support the production of precision aerospace metal components. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with metalworking tools and fabrication techniques and a solid understanding of aerospace quality and safety standards. This role is essential to producing high-integrity parts used in flight-critical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, cut, bend, and form aerospace-grade metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel) to meet engineering specifications.

  • Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, punch presses, grinders, and drill presses.

  • Perform intermediate welding (TIG preferred), riveting, and mechanical fastening of aerospace components.

  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers.

  • Conduct in-process inspection and measurements using calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools.

  • Perform surface finishing, deburring, and assembly preparation.

  • Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate work documentation, material traceability, and production logs.

  • Follow 5S and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards at all times.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Precision Metal Fabrication: Accurately fabricate parts to meet aerospace dimensional and quality standards.

  • Tool and Equipment Mastery: Operate fabrication machines and hand tools with minimal supervision.

  • Blueprint and GD&T Interpretation: Understand and work from detailed fabrication drawings and tolerances.

  • Quality Control: Ensure parts meet inspection criteria through proactive quality checks.

  • Process Adherence: Follow documented work instructions and fabrication procedures aligned with AS9100/ISO standards.

  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or certification in metal fabrication, welding, or mechanical technology.

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in aerospace or precision metal fabrication.

  • Proficiency in operating fabrication tools and interpreting technical documents.

  • Working knowledge of aerospace materials, safety requirements, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100).

  • Familiarity with TIG welding and precision sheet metal fabrication is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
