The Junior Fabrication Supervisor – Stainless Steel assists in overseeing daily fabrication activities of stainless steel equipment and components used in food and beverage manufacturing. Reporting to senior supervisors or managers, this role supports the team in ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to sanitary standards, safety compliance, and timely completion of fabrication projects. This is an entry-level supervisory role designed to develop leadership skills in a hands-on fabrication environment.
Supervise and support fabrication shop staff including welders, fitters, and assemblers during stainless steel equipment production.
Monitor daily work schedules, ensure tasks are completed on time, and assist in workload balancing.
Ensure compliance with sanitary design requirements (3-A standards), food safety regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
Assist in conducting quality inspections and coordinate rework or corrections as needed.
Promote safe work practices and enforce safety policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
Support training and development of fabrication staff in welding techniques, equipment handling, and shop procedures.
Help maintain fabrication equipment, tools, and work areas organized and in good working condition.
Communicate effectively with senior supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to resolve fabrication issues.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or related field preferred
1-3 years experience in stainless steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
Some exposure to supervisory or lead responsibilities is a plus
Basic understanding of stainless steel fabrication processes and welding
Knowledge of sanitary fabrication standards and food safety considerations preferred
Strong communication and team coordination skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
Willingness to learn and develop supervisory capabilities
