We are seeking a motivated Junior Fabrication Supervisor to assist in overseeing fabrication activities within our workshop or field operations. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with hands-on fabrication experience who are ready to take the next step into leadership. You will support senior supervisors in managing daily workflows, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and coordinating with technicians and welders to complete projects efficiently.
Assist senior supervisors in managing day-to-day fabrication tasks.
Monitor the performance of welders, fitters, and other shop personnel.
Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are available and in good working condition.
Check fabricated components against drawings or specifications under guidance.
Support inspection processes to ensure quality standards are met.
Report non-conformities and assist with corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE usage on the shop floor.
Identify unsafe practices and report hazards to senior supervisors.
Participate in safety toolbox talks and daily briefings.
Act as a link between the workforce and senior management for routine communication.
Coordinate material availability and assist in tracking job progress.
Maintain simple daily logs and report progress or issues.
Assisting in supervision of fabrication teams

Developing technical and team management skills
Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly
Exposure to supervision or team coordination is a plus
Basic understanding of fabrication drawings and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS)
Familiarity with workshop tools, welding techniques, and layout procedures
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Team player with basic leadership potential
